Q1. What's the difference between trial version and paid version?

The trial version is functionally the same as the paid version except there is a watermark in output files. To remove the watermark, you can purchase a license of the program.

Q2. What to do if I cannot open my project file?

That's possibly because the project file that you want to open has been deleted, renamed or moved. Also, if you save the project files to an external drive, please connect the external drive to your computer and re-open the file.

Q3. What should I do to archive the project file and reopen it for editing it later?

Go to FILE > Archive Project, then rename the project and find a location to save it. It will be saved as a Zip file, which including the Media folder of the source files and the project file in .wve. if you need the .wve file only, you can choose "Save Project As…"

Q4. What should I do if I receive the error "failed to create dump file" or "failed in encoding...." while exporting?

If you see an error "failed to create dump file" or "failed in encoding...."  while exporting video, please press Ctrl + S (Command + S in Mac) to save the project first. Then, go to our official site to download the latest version of Video Editor and update it. Now, re-launch the program, press Open recent at the top right corner of the main interface to reload the project (. wve) file and export it again.

Q5. Why can't I share my video to Facebook/YouTube successfully?

That could be because there is something wrong with Facebook or YouTube or due to these websites update. We'd suggest you try it in 1~2 days later. Alternatively, you can try export the video you have made to your computer and then upload it to Facebook or YouTube.

Q6. Is all the music in Video Editor royalty free?

Yes, all the music in Video Editor is royalty free. However, they can only be used for personal use, which means that commercial/business use is forbidden.

Q7. Can I remove the original audio from the video and replace it with a new one?

Yes, you can. Please follow the steps below.

Step 1. Add both the video and audio file to the media library section. Then, drag the video to the timeline.

Step 2. Select the video in the timeline. Then, right-click and choose "Audio Detach". The video part and audio part will be separated.

Step 3. Select the separated audio file and delete it.

Step 4. Drag the new audio file to the audio track of the timeline. Adjust it and move it to the place where you want it to be.

Note: If want to dub for the video, you can also use "Voiceover" feature to record your voice and add it to the video.
