1. Spotify Radio - Discover New Music for Free

Spotify is the most popular music streaming service on the market with a large library, good user interface and wide support of devices. You can access it with your Windows or Mac computer as well as mobile devices for iOS and Android. The big advantage of Spotify Radio is that stations can be created around not just genres - but artists and songs as well. Another advantage that Spotify Radio has over Pandora is Spotify's unlimited skips. This gives users an enormously powerful way to find just the right sort of jam. I do hope I could save the songs I like on Spotify Radio as a playlist for future listening.

2. Live365 - Online Radio Stations Created by Real People

Founded in 1999, this internet radio platform allows listeners to access thousands of stations, maintained by both professional broadcasters and hobbyists. I'm not a paying member so I always feel a little guilty considering how often I listen to this fantastic site. Any genre you want, they have it.

3. Jango - Free Internet Radio that Plays Music You'll Love

Overall Jango is a great choice for those looking for a free music streaming service. There are no ads during streaming, and you can skip songs as many times as you would like. Better yet, it incorporates a few smart features, like a button that reveals the lyrics to any song playing; and an embedded section displaying the artist's Twitter feed.

4. iHeartRadio - Stream World Music Offline

iHeartRadio is an awesome free music streaming website because it lets you not only listen to live radio over the Internet, but also news and podcasts, as well as create your own radio stations based on the music you like. When you first login to iHeartRadio, you're asked to choose the genres you like, such as Rock, Sports, Dance, Alternative, News & Talk, Country, Mix & Variety, and others. Most music streaming services play an audible advertisement between so-many songs, but iHeartRadio has zero commercials. Therefore, nothing will interrupt your music.

5. Pandora - Your Customized Music Experience

I love Pandora on my office computer! It is excellent to listen to during the day. I can turn it on for background music when I am working or when I am just relaxing and browsing online. Since it is just audio, it does not take too much bandwidth to stream, and it does not slow me down if I am working on something else at the same time online. The unique stations play different songs that you can listen to or dislike to skip to a new song. It loads quickly, and it has a good variety of songs on each station.

The only pity is that Pandora is available only in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. That's why I rank it 5th, but not the top 3.

6. Slacker Radio - Best for Music Fans Who Want Fun and Unique Stations

Slacker Radio is an Internet radio service that allows users to create and share customized music stations with friends and strangers online. Slacker offers three listening packages: Basic, which is free, Radio Plus, which is $3.99 a month, and Premium, which is $9.99 a month. Slacker offers stations curated by professional DJs according to genre, specialty, and artist. Users may also build their own stations from scratch, with a single artist seed. While listening, users may also share songs or stations across different social media accounts.

7. TuneIn - Listen to Online Radio, Music and Talk Stations

TuneIn Radio is similar to iHeartRadio in that there's a strong focus on playing live radio stations over the Internet rather than streaming individual songs in dynamic playlist format. TuneIn Radio lets you find local and remote FM and AM radio stations, stations that are trending worldwide, as well as stations by music, sport, news, and talk genre, such as Classical, Folk, Rock, Hockey, Football, Soccer, Baseball, Political News, Scanners, Traffic, Wine, Travel, Comedy, and Technology.
